Reading Time: Approximately 4 Minutes

Greetings!

As we shift our thoughts towards the New Year, I want to take a moment to reflect and say a special THANK YOU to you for being a member of our growing community. Your involvement and continued support truly means a lot to me and I am thankful each day for YOU!

I am not one to send out one of those seasonal letters that tell of a family's goings-on throughout the year. Instead, I am sending out this message of hope.

Justin, our fourteen year-old son pointed out one evening that "you must never give up hope until all hope is lost." Our cat had been missing for several days. Within five minutes of Justin making this observation the cat arrived home! While our family has experienced some serious "white-water" in 2005 we have survived with an extra dose of resilience to start 2006 with new hope, optimism and purpose.

The LPM production team has been working towards a successful future. More and more attention is being given to our work as more and more baby boomers get within thinking distance of retirement. My personal goal for 2006 goes beyond just turning up for work! My goal is "to be on purpose each day, with my purpose" which is to grow Life Planning Matters into the "best Canadian resource for life planning literacy."

I invite you to join our team by becoming an ambassador of our work in helping us to connect with people in your personal and business community. Please forward this email or mention our web address to those friends and colleagues who are within thinking distance of retirement. Thank you!

Into Africa - An Inventure Journey

In March I will be part of an exclusive group of eleven men travelling to Tanzania under the leadership of Richard Leider. This inventure will have a major impact on me personally and upon my work. My preparation has been underway since last September and I am already planning different ways of passing along my learning to you and others in the LPM community.

Richard Leider's work has received consistently high recognition from organizations all over the world. Believing passionately that each of us is born with a purpose, he is dedicated to coaching people to discover their own power of purpose. He is undoubtedly one of North America's leading authorities on this subject and was recently ranked as one of the Top 5 most respected coaches by Forbes.... you can learn more about him at clicking here.

This newsletter has a new look. Our web site is being refreshed to accommodate our new initiatives and we plan to have Richard as a special guest on conference calls and at several "in-person" seminars later in the year. If you would like to receive special "alerts" about these events please send us a quick email. Be the first to know and save 10% on any of these special events.

New Intelligence for Your Retirement

The "white-water" of life I experienced in 2005 has delayed me completing my first book New Intelligence for Your Retirement. Procrastination is the primary fear of every author but in some ways procrastination ages and substantiates the subject matter! I am holding my coach accountable for making sure I stay on track to having the manuscript completed. Coming soon... www.intelligence4yourretirement.com.
